Village Murder

Cheating on your husband or wife always causes terrible hurt and pain. But it happens every day around the world. Sometimes these actions can have deadly results.

In a small village in Kenya, there was a married couple with children. Their neighbors knew them well and liked them. They had a nice house and a big farm where they grew corn and other crops. Everyone thought they were living a good life.

But then the husband started to worry about his wife. She had become very friendly with a young neighbor who lived just four houses away. The husband wanted to find out if his fears were right or wrong. So he made up a story about taking a trip. He told his wife he was going to visit family in the next village. But really, he went to stay with a friend nearby.

The woman thought her husband would be gone for a few days. She went to the market and bought fish. She cooked it very well and made sure the children went to bed early. Then she invited her young lover over to the house.

After they ate dinner, the two lovers went to the bedroom. But the husband had asked some friends to help him. Later that night, they all came to his house. He knocked on the door and his wife opened it. She was shocked when the men pushed their way inside.

Her lover was also shocked. The men attacked him and beat him very badly. They hit his head so hard that his skull broke. The men soon saw that he was dead. Now they had to figure out what to do.

There was a big problem. The village had an old rule that said only the owners of a house could be carried out the front door if they died inside. This young man was not the house owner. And the house did not have a back door.

This is where the story gets very strange. Since they could not use the front door to take his body out, and morning was coming soon, they had to break down the back wall of the house. This made space for the body to pass through.

After they got his body out, they left it near the road where someone would find it at sunrise. The wife stayed home to clean up all the blood.

Everyone in the village was talking about what happened. They all had their own ideas about how the young man died. He was buried a few days later.

But after the burial, the wife could not live with what she had seen. She felt too guilty. So she told the dead man’s family the truth about what really happened. Right after that, she ran away with her children.

The dead man’s brothers were filled with anger. They took weapons and went to find the husband. But he was afraid for his life. He ran away and never came back to the village.
