City Murder

It was a normal day in a small town in Kenya. People were busy doing their daily work when suddenly, in the afternoon, a woman was heard screaming. Because people are naturally curious, everyone ran to where the screaming came from to see what was happening.

A young lady had left her village and come to the city to find work. She wanted to help her family have a better life. While there, she met a nice young man who worked in construction. They lived together in a small apartment with two rooms.

They both got along well with their neighbors. But since they were both busy with work, they had little time to spend at home talking with others. So when no one had heard from them for almost two weeks, nobody noticed anything was wrong.

However, someone did notice. The lady’s mother talked to her daughter on the phone almost every day. But as days went by and she could not reach her daughter, she started to worry. As more days passed, she became even more worried. Finally, she decided to come to the city herself to check on her daughter and find out what was going on.

When she arrived, her daughter’s door was locked. It looked like no one was home. She asked some neighbors to help her remove the lock. When the door opened, they could see a trail of dried blood leading to the kitchen area. There was a big puddle of dried blood on the floor that someone had tried to clean up. She could not believe what she was seeing. They quickly left the house and called the police.

Now the neighbors started to put the pieces together. For a while, they had been smelling a bad odor coming from the shared toilet in the yard. But no one thought much about it until that day.

The last time anyone had seen someone from that house was almost two weeks ago in the morning. The girl’s boyfriend was going to work around seven in the morning. He was carrying what looked like a big sack. Everyone who saw him just thought it was his work tools.

When the police came, they decided to check the toilet. Sure enough, they found two legs and human body parts inside. That is why the mother was screaming in pain.

The boyfriend had run away, but the police caught him a week later while he was working at a construction site. He told them the truth about what he had done. He said he had killed his girlfriend by choking her and stabbing her. Then he cut up her body and cleaned up the mess. He put some of her body parts in the toilet and wrapped the rest in plastic bags. He put those bags in the sack that he carried the next morning. He took them to a nearby stone quarry and got rid of them there.

He is now in prison serving his sentence.
