A Marriage Destroyed

A Marriage Destroyed
Video coming soon

Kosele lived peacefully with his wife Akoth and their five children. They had three sons and two daughters. The couple had been married for thirty years and seemed happy together. But then trouble came into their lives.

Kosele was a hardworking farmer who grew crops to feed his family and earn money. Like most marriages, theirs wasn’t always perfect. Over the years, they had arguments and disagreements like any couple. But lately, things had gotten much worse.

All of their children had grown up and moved out to start their own lives. Now it was just Kosele and Akoth alone in their house. Akoth had become distant and seemed to care less about their marriage.

Then Kosele became very sick. His left leg became weak and he could barely walk on it. This illness made it hard for him to do his daily work on the farm. The sickness caused even more problems between him and his wife.

During this difficult time, Akoth found herself attracted to a young man who was only eighteen years old. This was the same age as her third son. She began to spend time with this young man and started keeping her distance from her sick husband.

Kosele noticed that his wife was acting strange, but he thought it was just because she was stressed about his illness. He had no idea what was really happening. Meanwhile, Akoth’s feelings for the young man continued to grow stronger.

When Kosele had to go to the doctor for his treatments, Akoth would invite her young lover to their house. Sometimes she would sneak over to his house instead. This secret relationship went on for several months without Kosele knowing.

One day, their eldest son decided to surprise his parents with a visit. He had been working in the city and wanted to come home to see how his father was feeling. When he walked into the house, he found his mother with the young man.

The son was shocked and angry. He could not believe what he was seeing. A fight broke out between him and his mother’s lover. They were shouting and pushing each other when Kosele returned home from the doctor.

Kosele walked into his house to find his son fighting with a young stranger. When he learned the truth about what had been happening, his heart was completely broken. His wife of thirty years had been unfaithful to him with someone young enough to be their son.

Soon, everyone in their small village was talking about the scandal. People whispered about Akoth and her young lover wherever they went. The eldest son was so ashamed of his mother’s behavior that he packed his bags and left home. He couldn’t stand to live there anymore.

Kosele and Akoth were alone in their house once again. Akoth apologized to her husband and begged him to forgive her. She promised she would end the relationship with the young man. Kosele considered giving her another chance and trying to save their marriage.

But a month passed, and people were still talking about what had happened. Every time Kosele went to the market or walked through the village, he could hear people whispering and pointing at him. The shame and embarrassment were too much for him to bear.

One morning, children walking to school heard terrible screams. They found Kosele under a big tree on his farm near the road. He was dead. Next to his body was an empty bottle of farm poison that he had used to end his own life.

The night before, Kosele had told his wife he was going to visit his brother in the next village. Instead, he had walked to his farm and made the tragic decision to take his own life. The endless talk in town about his wife’s affair had brought him too much pain and shame to continue living.

The whole village was shocked by Kosele’s death. People realized that their gossip and whispers had played a part in driving him to this desperate act. At his funeral, many people felt guilty about how they had treated him.

One month after Kosele was buried, Akoth did something that surprised everyone. She asked her young lover to move in with her permanently. Despite all the tragedy that had happened, she chose to continue the relationship that had destroyed her marriage and led to her husband’s death.

Today, Akoth and her young lover still live together in the same house where she once lived with Kosele. Many people in the village keep their distance from them, unable to forget what happened. The house that was once filled with the laughter of five children and a loving couple now stands as a reminder of how betrayal and shame can destroy lives forever.
