Child Safety Standards

AfroMax is an adults-only platform. Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) are prohibited absolutely, and an account found engaging in either is removed permanently. This page describes our standards, how to report a child safety concern, and what we do when we receive one.

1. Age Requirement

  • You must be 18 or older to use AfroMax. By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older, and our Terms of Service require it.
  • To publish a profile on AfroMax Love, our dating feature, a Member must complete identity verification: they record a short video of themselves holding a government-issued identity document showing that they are 18 or older, and a person at AfroMax reviews that recording against the profile.
  • If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we remove it.
  • We cooperate with app stores and regulators in enforcing age restrictions.

2. Prohibited Conduct

The following are prohibited on AfroMax without exception:

  • Sharing, distributing, requesting, or possessing child sexual abuse material.
  • Sexualizing a minor in any content, including text, images, video, or audio.
  • Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to arrange contact with a minor for sexual purposes.
  • Any other conduct that sexually exploits or endangers a child.

3. Consequences

  • Permanent ban with no possibility of appeal for child exploitation violations.
  • Reporting to authorities. Any child safety violation that exceeds the upper bound of its published suspension range results in a permanent ban and a report to the relevant authorities.
  • Content preservation for law enforcement, for the period federal law requires.

4. How to Report a Child Safety Concern

  • In the app. Report the Member or the content and select the "Minor safety" category. You can block the Member in the same step.
  • By email. Write to help@afromax.app. Include anything that would help us find the account or the content.
  • In an emergency. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement first. In the United States you can also contact the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

5. How We Respond

  • Human review. Every child safety report is reviewed by a person at AfroMax. These reports are handled ahead of other reports.
  • Removal. Content that violates these standards is removed and the account is permanently banned.
  • Reporting to NCMEC. When we obtain actual knowledge of apparent child sexual abuse material on AfroMax, we report it to the CyberTipline of the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as soon as reasonably possible, as required by 18 U.S.C. § 2258A.
  • Preservation. We preserve the reported material and related account records as federal law requires, so that they are available to investigators.

6. Law Enforcement Cooperation

  • We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement for account records and content.
  • We preserve evidence relevant to an ongoing investigation when asked to do so.
  • We provide technical assistance to investigations where we are legally required to.

7. Prevention and Education

  • Our Community Guidelines state plainly that content sexualizing or exploiting minors is prohibited.
  • Reporting is available wherever you encounter a Member or a piece of content, so a concern can be raised at the moment it arises.
  • Our Safety Policy sets out the wider safety measures that apply across AfroMax and AfroMax Love.

8. Contact

  • Emergency situations: Contact local law enforcement immediately.
  • Platform violations: Use in-app reporting with the "Minor safety" category.
